Win-A-Literary-Artist Contests

The Dr. Charles Allard Win-a-Literary Artist contest is an annual competition for schools and public libraries throughout Alberta to "win" a half-day presentation by an author, illustrator, poet, playwright or storyteller during Taleblazers. Applications will be accepted May 1st - June 15th.

 

You are not required to book an artist to enter the contest.
Entries must be received by June 15.

How would a literary artist complement your reading program or library?  
     
Winners will be determined by a joint committee of Allard and YABS Directors.
Winners will receive coverage of their artist's transportation and accommodation costs as well as a half day reading fee up to $250.
Winners will be notified by the end of the third week of June.
All winners are required to become members of the Young Alberta Book Society.
