Denise is a ceremonial drummer, singer and storyteller with Celtic and Aboriginal ancestry. She has been telling stories while teaching outdoor pursuits, team building, and historical curriculum programming for close to 25 years.
Denise is a facilitator of ColourSpectrums workshops and is trained in Team Building, The Art of Leading People and Leading Groups. She is certified in Adult Education – Workplace Program Delivery. Denise is on the Artists Rosters for The Young Alberta Book Society and The Alberta Foundation for the Arts. She is a member of The Canadian Association for Professional Speakers.
Denise has a native story and song CD available and is published in Synchronicity Magazine, and Windspeaker and Alberta Sweetgrass newspapers.
Denise opens events with drumming and singing, and provides inspiring keynotes, storytelling sessions and workshops on The Art of Storytelling, Strength of Self, and her own experiences with Indigo/Attention Deficit Disorder.
Denise is seen at many conferences, conventions, meetings and private functions, has been a teller at many festivals and has helped hundreds of schools and libraries celebrate special occasions or enjoy their curriculum as it is brought to life with story, song and drum.
